THE END OF LONELINESS (2025)

In the near future, as birth rates decline, the population pyramid inverts, and immigration policies tighten, an inevitable reality emerges: there are fewer and fewer people to care for our elderly.

In “The End of Loneliness,” we explore how companion androids begin to fill that void: constant presence, conversation, routines, affection, care… and an uncomfortable question hanging in the air: is this real care, or a perfect substitute for what we no longer provide? Loneliness is much colder than any of these machines.

Through various stories, this short film shows the most direct and emotional side of the future of care and loneliness, where dignity can come from an unexpected place.
